Professional letter enthusiasts Vincent de Boer, Guido de Boer and Hans Schuttenbeld form the High On Type collective. Together they give workshops, lectures and exhibit calligraphic masterpieces. To them the script holds little secrets, although they are constantly looking for the stories behind characters and fonts they encounter daily.
High On Type turned lettering into fine art. Especially for the 3sec.gallery they made a series of sequences in which the time spent writing letters exponentially increases each time the letter is drawn. Starting from 3 seconds they show the contrast between the ephemeral passing-by and their patient time consuming crafty handwork.
